About this in broadcast Mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov announced the latest lethon, reports Ukrinform.
“Today there are two evacuation routes: via Vasilievka and via Crimea. You do not need to get a Russian passport, you can leave with a Ukrainian passport. But the Russians are really trying to force them to get Russian passports, but they are not necessary for evacuation,” Fedorov said.
According to him, all evacuees are filtered in Crimea. People can stay there for several days.
“And there is no difference – a Russian or Ukrainian passport. Everyone who leaves the temporarily occupied territory is filtered. Therefore, they do not recognize passports issued in the temporarily occupied territories themselves,” the mayor said.
